Chapter 11 Assignment

Traditional- Audio Cassette
I could use a cassette in my classroom to listen to a book rather than having the student individually read the book. This ensures that the books won't get lost or damaged. It is also a cheaper way to get the material rather than having to buy a class set of books. It also helps my auditory learners to grasp the concept of the material better than if they were to read it.

Emerging- Internet Audio
Instead of having to find an out dated tape, or buying an entire CD set, I can use interenet audio to find specific clips of books I may want to use. It is a much cheaper approach to getting the material than buying books or tapes.

Visual
Traditional- VHS
Having a movie version of a book on VHS would allow me to enhance the learning of both my audio and visual learners. Students also become more interested when they can watch a movie rather than read a book.

Emerging- Internet Meetings
If a were to give group assignments analyzing certain chapters of a book, the students can use an internet meeting to get their group together without having to physically meet together. This also comes in handy when group members can not find an agreed time to physically meet due to conflicting schedules.

Chapter 6 Assignment

I would prefer to teach in a classroom with less technologies. I feel this way because I want to teach English classes. I am more focused on analytical reading and writing rather than having the students be interactive with each other through technology. Having just a couple of computers in the classroom so the students can pull up their essays and ask me questions about their writing, would be beneficial enough.

Superbowl Ad

I thought the GoDaddy.co girl commercial was hilarious. Who would have ever thought that Joan Rivers would have a body like that at the age she is? I think since Betty White has become so popular in ommercials the GoDaddy team tbhought it would be somewhat funny and even more competitive to have Joan Rivers be another addition to the GoDaddy girls.

I was also anticipating the Shape Ups commercial with Kim Kardashian. I was disappointed. It was not really entertaining and it was really short.
